Staff Training

A very important aspect of our commitment to Health & Safety is the training of our team.

We are committed to training our team to the national standard required for them to achieve a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.

Our staff also undertake additional training in a variety of areas including NVQ’s, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels and First Aid. We keep an up to date skills matrix to monitor the training our team has completed and have a plan in place for all future requirements.

Working together with Leeds College and the CITB we have established a successful apprenticeship route for training young people up to NVQ Level 3 in Roof Slating & Tiling, through a combination of on site experience and college based learning. Our Apprentices have gone on to represent the North of England for 6 consecutive years in the SkillBuild Competition, achieving a Silver medal in 2006 and again in 2008.
